KSI, a popular YouTuber, proved his grit by fighting twice in one night and eventually knocking out the professional boxer he was up against, giving him the upper hand before Jake Paul.
It was a cakewalk for KSI in the ring, as he stopped his opponents in the first and last rounds. At the O2 Arena in London, there were many matches of similarly dubious quality between YouTubers and influencers, many of which ended in comedic stalemates.
British rapper Swarmz was KSI's first opponent of the night, and he did his best to avoid being crushed under the American's onslaught by constantly ducking and weaving. Thankfully, the battle was stopped just 28 seconds into the second round after KSI dropped the rapper with a body shot and a left hand.
For the main event, KSI was back in the ring against Luis Alcaraz Pineda, a 23-year-old with a 2-5 professional boxing record, according BoxRec.
KSI's task of defeating a professional combatant was made incredibly easy by Pineda's constant protests to the referee as if it were a crime for him to be hit. Pineda was knocked down three times in the first round.
Once more, the round was extended into the second for unknown reasons, and KSI did not let up in his assault. In between the referee's counts after lowering Pineda for the second time, the YouTuber worked in some push-ups.
The referee extended this battle into the third round. After 54 seconds and two knockdowns, the referee stopped the fight.
The announcer was curious as to the number of knockouts necessary. This is a valid concern.
Due to an injury, KSI was unable to compete against Alex Wassabi, therefore "The Nightmare" decided to take on the daunting task of fighting against not one but two opponents in the same evening.
After KSI won his second "fight" of the night, he challenged Tommy Fury and Andrew Tate to fight, which, if you're into that sort of thing, would be a really good battle. To be fair, though, those two adversaries have some real defensive and offensive skills.
In addition to the two victims he dispatched so quickly tonight, KSI identified a few additional YouTube celebrities that he will likely cleanse in a similar fashion.
