In an Instagram post on Tuesday, Alekseeva’s manager, Brian Butler of SuckerPunch Entertainment, revealed the signing.
According to Butler, Alekseeva will bypass this season of Dana White’s Contender Series and go straight to compete on the official UFC roster.
Alekseeva (4-1), who is 32 years old, has won multiple medals in a variety of sports. She has been second three times in the Russian Judo Championships and first in both Russia and Europe at the Sambo World Championships. Further, she has won numerous “hand-to-hand combat champion” titles.
After signing a multi-fight contract with Bellator in December 2020, Alekseeva has been released and has signed with the UFC. In October of 2021, Alekseeva made her Bellator debut against Stephanie Page and came out on top by a unanimous decision. As far as we can tell, Bellator only used her once before cutting her loose for unknown reasons.
