Nikolas Motta, a lightweight, was unable to compete at UFC 287 due to a serious cut.
In his Friday announcement, Motta provided a graphic photo of the gaping wound that is located on his right forehead ridge. Motta (13-4 MMA, 1-1 UFC) was scheduled to fight Ignacio Bahamondes (13-4 MMA, 2-1 UFC) on April 8 in Miami, but he will now have to put off his return to the ring a little bit longer.
“I had a lot stitches all my career but never had one deep like that, this white part on my cut in the second picture is my tendon, it got very swollen and inflamed,” Motta posted on Instagram.
