Be like Joe Pyfer!
A fiery speech to the UFC’s Contender Series combatants was delivered by UFC president Dana White on Tuesday. As the lone victor, Pyfer (9-2 MMA, 0-0 UFC) will make his UFC debut soon.
On the 17th of September, at UFC Fight Night in Las Vegas, Pyfer will square off against Alen Amedovski (8-3 MMA, 0-3).
In the second round, Pyfer, 25, defeated LFA middleweight champion Ozzy Diaz. This is the second time he’s appeared on the DWCS. In 2021, Pyfer lost to Dustin Stoltzfus after dislocating his arm. Pyfer was banned for nine months after he tested positive for metabolite modulators.
There is a chance that the 34-year-old Amedovski may lose his job. He entered the UFC undefeated, but he has yet to win a fight. After losing to Krzysztof Jotko, John Phillips knocked out Amedovski in 14 seconds. Joseph Holmes defeated him in May.
