When Da’Mon Blackshear (12-4) takes on Zalal (10-5 MMA, 3-3) on Aug. 13, the stakes could not be higher. The ESPN/ESPN+ event will take place at San Diego’s Pechanga Arena.
Blackshear takes the place of Cristian Quinonez, who has visa issues.
A number of people familiar with the situation told MMA Junkie on Wednesday that the promotion hasn’t made any official announcements about the rumored relocation.
He has been all over the place. Blackshear has competed in Bellator, CES MMA, Titan FC, and CFFC, where he won the 135-pound title in November. Blackshear has battled through all of these organizations. In May, Blackshear had a four-game winning streak.
Zalal, 25, is looking to snap a three-fight losing streak at Factory X. All three of these fighters have each won in the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC).
