After a short break, Ariane Lipski will get back to work on Saturday. She wants to get on a winning streak.
It is a women’s flyweight title fight between Lipski (14-7 MMA, 3-4 UFC) and Cachoeira (11-4 MMA, 3-4 UFC) that will kick off UFC on ESPN 40 at the UFC Apex. The card airs on ESPN and is available to view on ESPN+.
Due to an injury, Lipski was unable to take on J.J. Aldrich in March. With this in mind, she is hoping that her upcoming bout with fellow Brazilian Cachoeira will not only put her back in the ring, but will also set her on a winning run.
Before that, she had lost two straight fights by TKO to Antonina Shevchenko and Montana De La Rosa before she beat Mandy Bohm in September 2021.
Watch the whole interview with Lipski from the media day above. When Benito Lopez takes on Mario Bautista, it will be his first fight in 1212 days.
There will be a bantamweight bout on UFC Fight Night on November 5. There’s no word on where this will take place.
Iridium Sports Agency, Bautista’s management company, tweeted about the matchup.
Between victories over Albert Morales and Vince Morales and an injury-induced hiatus, Lopez (10-1 MMA, 2-1 UFC) lost to Manny Bermudez.
Jay Perrin and Brian Kelleher have both lost against Bautista. This was Kelleher’s most recent success.
On November 5, there will be no more conflicts.
