The main event of the final UFC card for the month of October is a huge featherweight matchup.
It has been verbally agreed that Arnold Allen and Calvin Kattar will square off on October 29 at a UFC Fight Night event at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas. There have been no bout contracts released as of yet, but that is expected to change in the next few days.
It will be held on the same night as the boxing showdown between former UFC middleweight champion Anderson Silva and YouTuber Jake Paul in Phoenix.
Allen is feeling great following his March starching of Dan Hooker in London (18-1 MMA, 9-0 UFC). Allen won by knockout in 2:33 against Hooker and challenged Kattar to a bout. Allen has not yet been defeated in the UFC, but he has faced many setbacks due to injuries. Although this is the case, Allen has won 11 games in a row.
Kattar (23-6 MMA, 7-4 UFC) was defeated by Josh Emmett via contentious decision in Austin, Texas, in June. Kattar lost the bout despite having the support of many spectators and members of the press. Kattar has gone 3-2 in his last five bouts, including a strong win over Giga Chikadze in January.
