LAS VEGAS – At UFC on ESPN 40, Cory McKenna created a name for himself with a historic victory. At UFC Apex on Saturday, McKenna became the first female UFC competitor to win a Von Flue choke submission when she defeated Miranda Granger (7-3 MMA, 3-1 UFC).
During the post-fight press conference, the Team Alpha MMA fighter walked reporters through the finish.
I thought this would be a good challenge because I’ve never done a Von Flue before.
McKenna, a recent graduate of Dana White’s Contender Series, isn’t in a hurry to go back into the ring, even at the age of 23.
So give yourself at least a few weeks to focus on the necessary changes.
