During the month of July, Jake Paul discussed one of his lifelong goals: a boxing match against former heavyweight champion Mike Tyson. From as early as 2021, when Tyson declared the fight “really interesting,” both men have been discussing the possibility of finally making it happen in 2022.
Paul has speculated that “Iron Mike” has been hesitant because he “wants to avoid maybe knocking me out and hurting me,” but nothing has happened on that front as of yet.
Former Disney star said, “maybe the fight would happen” if Tyson understood how terrific Paul actually was.A recent revelation from legendary boxing trainer Freddie Roach may have thrown cold water on the hopes of the YouTuber-turned-pugilist who hoped his 56-year-old idol would come around to the concept after a closer evaluation of his boxing abilities. According to an interview Roach gave to FightHype.com, the boxing legend Tyson briefly observed one of Paul’s sparring sessions before leaving.Paul vs. Silva takes place on October 29th at the Desert Diamond Arena in Glendale, AZ.
